Friends after Rejection... ???

Recently, I asked out my good friend of 3 years but she told me that she doesn't believe in relationships and is happy being single and independent ( she hasn't had a BF up-till now...) We both are 21 yrs btw....
But she said that she'll still like to remain friends with me though. So I accepted this and actually there was no awkwardness between the two of us...Although our friendship is still good, I somehow feel that she can now start using me because she knws that i like her....It also makes me feel BAD when she talks with other guys. Do you think it is best to end this friendship ? On one hand i think i should just walk away from it completely but on the other, I think she might change her mind LATER on. Am i nuts in thinking this sorta way ??
Please help me....I'm totally confused... I can't get her out of my mind...i think about her every minute...

number 1, you're NOT ok with just being friends. Next this is what you have to deal with when you take the chance of asking out a friend. If she'd never had a bf in 21 years why did you think she'd date you? It's going to be awkward from here on out. You may be able to salvage some of the friendship if you distance yourself from her a bit, but she'll notice something up. You're going to get jealous a lot when she talks to other guys because you're always gonna kinda like her and be hopeful.......it's a vicious circle and you know the way out, but it won't be easy.
