    Fionce been cheating

We`ve been together for 5 years now, and got engaged before christmas. We`ve always knew we where ment for eacthother. She is the best thing that have ever happend to me. Never had any major problems in our relationship until now.

Last night she was going to stay after work eating some pizza and have a beer.
I thought she`d be home around 5pm, but the time went. I tried to phone her but her battery on the cellphone was dead. It got late, around 11:30pm and I was worried about her. I knew she had been drinking, but thought I`d go pick her up, so she did`nt have to take the bus or anything. I was going to try to phone one of her coworkers, but did`nt. Would`nt sound like one of those realy paranoid boyfriends.
Anyway, she came home right after. Completly wasted, ignored me and went straight to bed.

4am this morning she woke me up to tell me that she had be cheating on me. She had gotten so drunk and slept with a coworker, at work.

She regrets the whole thing and is so sorry. Been crying all day begging me to stay. She have never cheated on me before, nor gotten this drunk.

I`m so confused. I don`t know what to do. I want us to keep on, but don`t know if it`s worth it if I never can trust her again.
    Please help me anyone.

This is the first time that I can admit I don't have advice. I have never been cheated on before.

That being said, if this is the only time she has cheated, then maybe it can be salvaged...but I dunno. Things like this are so delicate. I know that if you do end up staying together; I'd recommend counseling, and it will take time to heal..but you have to decide if it's worth it.

I hope somebody with a little more experience will come along, but keep it intelligent as well.

Counseling is pretty much a necessity. It does show a lot that she told you the very next day and didn't hide it. But then again, how much does it show that she cheated on you in the first place? And with a co-worker (meaning she'll have to see this person day in day out for however long . . . will the temptation still be there? Will she be able to work the same?)

This is a matter for a professional counselor who has probably had enough of these situations arise to know what to suggest and what not.

I agree, I would honestly try Counseling first, and afterwards it will more then likely give you a better perspective on what to do.

Thank you for the answers. I`m still not sure what to do. I want this to work, so bad. She`s the love of my life. I don`t think she would have done this sober. 99% sure. But if you can do it when you`re drunk I guess there is a chance when sober too. I know she can`t handle beeing drunk. She knows that too. That`s why she never drinks. To avoid doing studpid things (well, not just cheating). This is the first time I`ve seen her this drunk. So I guess I could blame the alcohol. If I decide to give the relationship a shot, we`ll try the counceling. Thanks

Man i've never been engaged but i've been cheated on and one thing you gotta think of is.....am i gonna stay up at night thinking of what went on with that **** and my g/f? that shit bothered me so much and anytime i did something sexual with my g/f that shit was always in the back of my mind. Some people might be able to get over it....but you gotta ask yourself, do you want that always hiding behind you in your marriage
