What is she feeling?

Hi,

I work in an office environment and there was this girl who always used to look and smile at me across the room constantly. We started talking one day and now she speaks to me almost every day.

From that day onwards, every morning she walks in to the office - she waves and says morning with a huge smile - we have that more then 2 or 3 second eye contact as well.

we have alot of eye contact in the office for about 3 weeks now, where by she would constantly look and i would catch her staring and she would quickly look away, almost everyday.

Everytime i see her, she is always bubbly and smiling alot and gets all excited, when she explains things in person she catches her breath alot aswell.

I would be laughing with my team at a joke or some other and she would see me smiling and laugh herself over the other side of the room staring at me.

Every couple of days that i dont talk to her, she will park next to me in the carpark aswell sometimes 3 or 4 times a week lately.

I started talking to her on our work instant messenger almost every second day so im not in her face, and we talk and flirt over the IM alot.

She is the type that is very independent and professional, Im 21 and she is 22, we both are very mature.

I have since found out, she has never had a bf ever, and is very shy, the last 2 weeks she has opened up alot and has been really flirtatious towards me.

I asked her what she was doing one weekend and she then asked me and on the following monday she asked how my thing was that i did on the weekend that i told her on friday.

Everytime i ask her to do something for me at work, i would say "when you have a spare moment during the day can you do this for me?" and she would do it there and on every occasion i have asked her.

This week, I have been waiting for her to finish and walking out with her to the car park, and I asked her "oh we should catch up this weekend" and she replied surprised saying "we'll try too"...I don't know how to go forward from here.

I really like and admire her for her personality not looks.

Given that she has no expierence what so ever and shes new to this like myself, Can anyone provide me with advice/tips to go forward?

Any information, would be greatly appreciated

Yes, here is some advice - Ask her out. Seriously. On a date. Don't make it general like "We should hang out" or anything like that. Be specific. You can ask her if she is free one night and then if she is, ask her if she wants to go to dinner or go get some coffee and take a walk, etc. Make it obvious that it is a date.

I understand your hesitancy and shyness, but she is a human just like you. Just ask her.

The main caveat I would mention is that you work together. If things don't work out in the long term, it could make things difficult at work. Just be cautious of that.

How long should I wait to ask her out? After asking her only the other day.

I don't want to come across as desperate or in her face etc.

Ask her out sometime next week. And make sure it is something specific.
Unless there is a local event happening that would be good to invite her to. That way it takes the pressure off the timing issue (because you can't change the time of the event), etc.

Definitely don't be too desperate. Act casual about it. Even if you feel like you are going to vomit up everything inside you. Casual and confident. that will do wonders for you.

Hi All,

Thank you to all above,

Just a quick update - I asked her to lunch tonight and I said "ohh we should go to #$%^& restaurant on Friday? and she said "hmm #$%^& restaurant", and stood up and down thinking of of somewhere else then said "its hard during the week" - we both have the weirdest time schedules - she does lunch at 2pm some days because of work...

How ever, she has parked next to me in the carpark lately, and smiled alot and kept looking / staring my way - I asked her for help to day and she couldnt help me enough.

Im just unsure whether or not she thought it was a date or she didnt know how to react.

Her body language was positive and she was really happy that I asked.

I said Id wait for her out the front of work and i must have been somewhere else, and she walked out to her car, saw me waiting and came back from the carpark and grabbed me.


So Im not sure how to step forward, her signs are still there - Im more confused then anything.


Any adivce would be muchly appreciated.
