Love is a four-letter Anglo-Saxon word, just like ****, shit, cunt and wife.* 'nuff said.*

*This is said in fun, has nothing to do with my relationship with my wife.

The forum's profanity-filter was clearly struggling to keep up with that one.

True. But even when it is reciprocated, can it not also suck for other reasons?

Come on. I want a full blown discussion involving pandas, naked waitresses and people quoting Freud, or at very least Karl Jung.

You forgot Lego, which when found first thing in the morning with cold bare feet can be said with more venom and and ability to offend than any other word I know.

But Lego isn't Anglo-Saxon, it's Danish. I know the Angles and Saxons were basically Scandinavians that came down out of the mountains, but it's not exactly the same thing.

Love would suck if you were in love with a panda. Judgmental society and all. But naked waitresses would always support you. And when things get really hard, here's a list of inspirational quotes.

I'd try and be serious but I'm too tired. I guess it can suck for other reasons but people generally say love sucks because they're in love with someone who doesn't feel the same. But it can suck even when the feeling is mutual because life sucks and love is part of life. But I'd rather think about the positive stuff because if I'd start to think about everything that's wrong and f*cked up about love and life and the world I'd never sleep at night.

Sounds like you need a hug. By a panda. They're cuddly.

Awww! I wanna hug it and pet it and kiss it! I've been away the past week with a friend who's got a huge fluffy Terra Nova dog. I just came home and I already miss the beast. It's also the first night I have to sleep alone after a week of constantly being with someone

    You live on your own?

I have a cat, which incidentally isn't actually mine, but seems to think it lives here. Each time the back door is open it comes in and sits on the sofa.

    You are welcome to it.

I hope you are looking after that cat max. Random cats that appear out of no where are the best. Most of the cats I've had the pleasure of co-habiting with have chosen me. The best one was one that never came inside but would appear outside the kitchen window and would do cartwheels chasing my hand around the window. He was awesome. I name him Mozart. He seemed to like it.

After going back to bed last night (my last post in this thread was about 4 am when I couldn't sleep) the only space in the bed available to me required me using my cat as a pillow. He didn't mind.

Ummm but getting back on thread... As a teen I used to say Love and Lust were bi-products of pain. Then I realised I had it backwards.
