whats a girl to do? should I go or should I stay?

A few weeks back I planned a secret trip with this guy I was seeing but then it got postponed because I could not get the holiday request approved due to busy trade. Now I have them approved, and its next week, but I don’t know if this guy wants to date me anymore because we had an argument. Should I tell him that I have the week off or wait for him to contact me which he said he will end of this week?
So do I at least text him which is pretty much how we communicate, btw I was frustrated with the text message malarky and said this and he had a go at me for being inpatient.
