i'm not trying to get a job, the interview is for med school. the money - well, student loans i guess, and parents help too, (sometimes)

and i don't travel too much, it's just that i have interviews all over the place (well, three so far: Boston, Indy, Phily)

But i hope many more come!

    Other Potential Visits:

    Pittsburgh
    Louisville
    California
    New York
    Florida
    Nebraska

so far, i have been denied from Arizona and Washington <---- those bastards!

But next year, I'll be settled for Four years, whever i can get an acceptance!

    but for now:

why do you want to be a doctor (this will be their first question)
    -----> i gotta prepare!!!!!!!!!

tell me about yourself (this will probably be second)

why Indiana? (this will be the third)

    lol shh! thx again rose

    I'm so nervous!

When they ask me: "So, tell me about yourself..."

I'm seriuosly considering to open, by saying, "Well, I enjoy long walks on the beach".

    (I'm being serious)

...and then, I'll say, "No, I'm kidding........I'm a very family oriented individual, I share a close relationship with my parents........blah, blah, blah

    What do you all think?

Kind of like an ice-breaker type thing (I hope they laugh)

Well if they " tell me about yourself" I would say extracurricular (spelling???) activity's because it shows you can do thigns with others. And different goals you have achieved for yourself. Also go into things stregnths you ahve. By saying your close with family that's good but they may think your more focused on that then your career even though that's how it is.

If it's a formal interview rsk they may just assume your nervous and not laugh at all and it could be dead silence.

RSK you're a smart guy, you'll do well no matter where you go. If interviews are that big a deal, just apply where you don't have to do them.

Tell them about your drive to make positive contributions. To the patient and to the profession. WITHOUT ever saying the words "patient" or "profession." Let them infer that for themselves from the words to DO say. Get it? Guide their thinking that way throughout.

thx to everyone above! i see what you are saying whaywardj, i'll do my best.

i just went out for a walk around 'the circle'

    I wish you were here:

^it doesn't look like that yet, but they are preparing for it, they have some lights on trees.

i took a walk around that circle, and it was cold and chilly. i saw a young couple (the chick was hot) walk the opposite direction, and they passed me....

...the chick was wearing winter clothing (hot), and the dude was in a jacket, they were holding hands.

I, was walking alone. It was a reminder as to how AWESOME it would be, when I do find a girl, and be able to share moments like that!

It's funny how the most simple things in life, that we see, can have the most powerfull affect.

    I wish you were here.

Oh yeah - i saw a horse and carriage too, that made my day!

okay, i'm addicted to LF, and I should be reviewing for this interview. So, 'peace out' everyone!

Interviewer: Why do you want to be a doctor?
RSK: For the money; and babes that come with the money

Hope it works out for you (then you won't have to come to Philly and visit Temple and I won't feel compelled to meet up with you, even though I said I would---I was just being nice)

*Did I just say that out loud?*

    Sun is shining...

    The weather is sweet...

...it makes me want to move...

    ...my dancing feet,

TO THE RESCUE! HERE I AM!

    lol

yeah Zek, it is beautiful. I was just caught off gaurd yesterday with the cold. i did recieve that hoosier welcome!

mismobra, new mexico IS a nice place, (I've heard), but the application process is over, and it's just a waiting game. Also, their med school is TOUGH to get into (that also had something to do with it)

    Lloyd ---> lol.

    well, THIS IS IT!

    Boo ya Ka shaaa!

i'm excited, nervous, scared, frightened, edgy, compulsive, and paranoid all at once. having said that, i'm also RSK

    and RSK rocks!

    too much confidence? PROBABLY.

but you live ONE life. and this is my ONE chance.

And I'm gonna take it! <----- it was hard to type this last sentence.

it would've been much easier for me to say -----> I'll do my best.

So, I'll do my best to take it!

This is nervous energy right now. it's quite therapeutic!
