exactly, roll with what life has to offer you. sometimes i know that i'm not always good at this but i try. however, people trip out way too much over the smaller things in life. hrmm.... maybe that is why i drink so much, because i could care less what happens with me.

Death is not one of the "smaller things in life" in my opinion.

Granted, your situation is YOUR situation. But if I say anything at all it will probably just be this: if you dont like the way your sister is, ignore her - - your focus and energy should be with and on your grandmother and the family members that need you right now.

Frasbee----Sorry to hear the news. Death always comes around, whether we like it or not.

My grandpa was sick for a period. He never grumbled, just bored with the pain. I watched him waste away over a period of 4months. The day he died I was scared, so scared of losing him. I was there by his bed-side and watched him die.
Afterwards, strangely enough, I felt relieved. Relieved that he wasn't suffering anymore.

To Shh: Yeah, she takes bein' an attention whore to a whole other level.

To independent: Unfortunately because I'm serving in AmeriCorps I am unable to visit my grandmother or any of my family for that matter. And it's difficult to ignore somebody when you deliberately call them back.

I'm serving in Jackson, Mississippi right now.

    I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

My grandmother lives in New Jersey.

My entire family is spread out like this.

But I knew that there'd be a lot of distance between me and family when I joined.

It's the price of serving the U.S. in a more productive and non-violent way.
