What sickens me about Africa isn't that we aren't marching our young men off to die for cowards and weaklings who can't defend themselves, but that while a holocaust was occurring I was being taught about a different holocaust which happened half a century ago. My teachers never mentioned Africa but they went on and on about Auschwitz and Hitler.\

There are huge differences between Hitler's 3rd Reich and the Janjaweed

I think we (the people) need to find a way to exercise more control over our governments. Invasion of Iraq should never have happened. It wouldn't have happened if there was a vote on it for example.

That and control of the media. There should be more public control of the type of information distrbuted. There should be public standards on the type of information broadcasted, verified sources, what makes information legitimate, watch dogs which monitor conflict of interest in broadcasting. News outlets should not follow agenda of big corporations or Governments.

Imagine financing greater engineering projects from contractors like Raytheon, Lockheed-Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grunman... With $600 billion per year in that and NASA, people would be fuccking walking on Mars
Canadians realize it DM. We just think you're the dumbasses for electing an administration TWICE that screws you over like that.

But I agree w/everything else you said. We should have been on the moon (and stayed) decades ago. We could be on Mars by now.

But that's past. We can't go back, only forward. I hope you all elect someone w/that kind of forward vision next time.

Oh, and Raytheon gets plenty of funding for its WEAPONS development, lol.

    We are not stuck.

The problem is people are too afraid not to care.

We could literally pull all of our troops out of that country and leave it for dead. It is possible.

What we really need to do is violently overthrow the government.

Literally shoot and blow it all to hell and start over.

    That is true democracy.

I own a Raytheon-made washer & dryer, believe it or not. (They went through a phase of making home appliances, lol.) All stainless steel on the interior. Bought it before SS was chic. I could wash a metal bucket in there (or shoes w/cleats) & it wouldn't get damaged. Awesome engineering.
