Thing is, Internet is so less personal, that its simply easier. Using the internet gets you instant gratification. You post a message, get a reply.

Breaking up/asking out is soooo much easier online, because your awkwardness does not shine, and you are cloaked with the feeling you can say whatever you want. We are given a sense of anonymity online that we don't have in person.

You're right though, it is really, really sad. People will take advantage of the fact they can use the internet/ text messaging to spark/end a relationship... when all it does is come off as a shit load less personal.

It was removed within 24 hours of him posting it because it had a montage of pictures of me with a voice over. He also had another with South park characters and voices?? Weird. I asked him to remove the videos because it was in violation to my privacy. I also reported it to You tube but they were pretty apathetic.

I personally love the internet but I think people seem to think it is a filter for them. Something that they wouldn't have the courage to do in person is acceptable because it is on the web. You see it all the time on this forum..eg "My girlfriends ex is messaging her on Myspace all the time" blah blah ad nauseam.

    Creepy!

What did the voice over say?
    Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame

It said that we should get back together. He's such a cool guy. I will never find anyone like him (complete narcissist). All it did was make me happy that I dumped his sorry ass. At the moment he has a crappy TV show and on the front page of the website he has a message to me. If I was his current girlfriend I would be none to pleased with that. Gosh people can be weird.

He sounds OCD. Probably self esteem issues to boot.

It's probably the ease and instant gratification mixed with the need for attention and drama. The internet seems to provide some people with their virtual stage or soapbox.

I think people are just as attention-grabbing and selfish offline. They just don't post it all for the world to see.

    Hi Starbuck!
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Yes, Daesin, I've has something inappropriate happen too. My husband had all of these old hookups as Facebook friends. It was ****ing ridiculous. It was like Little Black Facebook.

    They're gone now.

I have a friend who just went through this recently. Her boyfriend had every single ex girl friend on Facebook. Then of course she looked daily at the posts they made and she was going mad.
