Cam - aside from the ending, best scene "Lip my stockings".

I laughed so hard at this scene^ that I had to actually stop the DVD.

There is a clip on utube, but I can't quickly find it. I'll look later.

Another great scene is the Suntory filming, especially if you speak some Japanese (or watch it w/someone who does who can translate--the film deliberately doesn't). Its one of those rare film moments that is hilarious from either perspective (those who are clueless or those in the know).

LIT is one of my Top 10 fave movies.

Yes, it is a damned good film. Bill Murray showed himself to be very talented--everything from comedy to drama.

Not to put the thread too far off-topic, but do you like Juliette Binoche, Cam?

She was in a film 'Bleu' that I thought was just amazing. There's very little dialogue. The film rests solely on her impressive acting ability. Its definitely a 'thinking' film. But, not for melancholy days. Be warned.

Wow, I haven't thought about that film for a long time! Yes, it was very good. Haven't seen it for ages--it was part of a trilogy, alluding to the French tricolor and, therefore, the society.

And, Juliette Binoche? Good actress and she's got "the look"

As an update, I finally heard back from him. We've been emailing a few times with casual conversations. It took him long enough! 2 months, lol. I brought up how I want to meet for lunch when I go back to my old neighborhood next week. haven't heard back, I doubt he'll want to though. I get a vibe that he thinks it would be strange for us to do lunch.

Rachel, don't you get enough attention from your husband? Maybe you should see if you can't get your needs in this regard met by him. You are setting yourself up for trouble. This older guy is probably safe, but if you are needy for attention I foresee problems when a younger guy shows interest.

I want his help with a book I'm writing. The main character is Jewish in the book, and he is, so I could really use his help. I want to get his feedback on the whole thing. And it would also be nice to be friends with another teacher, since I only have a couple teacher friends. I don't see the harm in what I want to do. What's the big deal?
