I had Wachovia when I was at home, and now I have Capital One.

Both have free checking, and mean it, BoA's free checking is a lie...

My checking account at Wachovia has been inactive for about a year now, and I went to close it last Christmas, and the guy said I can close it, but they won't charge me anything if I don't.

I keep a little cash in there just in case.

If people don't want to educate themselves on what they're getting into they deserve whatever comes.

I believe that to an extent.

And it's not to your extent.

I feel bad for people that are very limited to who they bank with because BoA comes along and gobbles up all the smaller banks. There may have been maybe 2 other banks in the town in Oklahoma where I was living. No doubt they didn't have ATM's.

My g/f's family switched from BoA to Wachovia, and Texas is a big BoA state.

I love collections! It's my life! Thankfully I don't have to deal with people, only with insurance carriers/law firms.

I was just thinking, I paid off one of my loans 10 months early (it was a 12 month loan).

I bet BoA would have charged me a fee for that.

You have no idea to what extent, Fras. I sincerely believe humanity's greatest folly is the elimination of danger. No survival of the fittest means more and more stupid, fat, pathetic slobs are reproducing, they're gaining positions of power, they're diluting our gene pool, they're turning into brainless zombies.

Zombies who stuff McDonald's down their putrescent throats, shocked and appalled when they blow up into gigantic blobs of fat and finally keel over from heart failure--yeah, that eliminates some people, but typically not before they've had the chance to squirt a few loads into an equally disgusting bitch. Zombies who stare at a screen, absorbing whatever is said to them, ignorantly adopting the views and opinions others plant for them. Zombies who read advertisements and rush out to buy products they don't need and who ultimately blame the advertisers for their absence of money. Zombies who get themselves horribly indebted because they've blown all their money and maxed out credit cards without actually researching what it is they're doing.

Shit. You know what's going to happen? Ten thousand years from now there are going to be two distinct subspecies. You're going to have breeders who do nothing but consume and reproduce and you're going to have predators who do nothing but supply and manipulate. Hell, maybe it's all ready happened.

What bothers me about advertising is this trend to write feature articles that are really nothing more than a paid ad. I fought this recently (and won). The editor made a business decision, not to lose our longterm business, but they won't be calling those ads "research articles" anymore. This 'lying by omission' is very unethical.

I do think, Grib, there is an obligation for senior people to keep their industry clean. Otherwise you end up with things like the recent financial crisis and external controls put in place.

I'm assuming you've seen this, but I'll post it so others can discuss. Fascinating watching, but the whole thing is a hoax:

Oh goodness. Frasbee and Zombies. Tsk Tsk.

I've had Bank of America for years now and I don't have a problem whatsoever. I have a premier account *Redskins Banking* and I love it Wachovia I absolutely hate.

I'm so pissed that anyone can just coin the term 'redskins'.

    How can you hate Wachovia?

They don't rape you when your free checking goes to even zero.

    Unlike BoA.

I love my bank, I get amazing rates, comparable or better than a private credit union I deal with for my bikes.

It's all about the friends you make tbh. Everyone on the top floor of the building knows me because I have been in and out of there a lot. I have made a few mistakes with my checking, but they just waived the fees and gave me tips for being more organized, which I am now.

Oh yeah, I bank with Key Bank.

I like my bank, too. No extra fees or anything. Hardly interest on savings, either, unfortunately.

It's obviously a hoax cuz when she comes out she has a jug but she doesn't bring it back with her when she goes back up; you would think that a person who is capable of doing all this would be smarter than that.

Also, she's in the background as he's setting up the camera. She should see him setting it up lol.
