You can't quit smoking if you keep having a drag. If you're serious about quitting you have to go cold turkey and supplement with nicorettes (keeping busy) through the withdrawl.

IMO: That's akin to not bothering and doing what she's always done. If you're going to "never give up on trying to quit, you might as well just change your expectations and enjoy it for what it is: smoking until you have to quit due to poor health. (or ocassional sex when it suits him without commitment.)

She may still have he toes in the water but I think she will finally get it.....on her own time. It's real tough to fight those feeling sometimes. Been there, got over that myself. Life will eventually go onto a new chapter.
