The realty is you are one of many potential "scores" this dude is working on. He was probably getting a bad reputation on the dating sites and the best way to lose the rep is to lose the account and start over.

That is some good and sound advice for the future, I have blocked/deleted him for now and yes, I am sure that in the future he may reach out to me. Who knows? At this point I feel better and think I will be better prepared to steer clear of the advances in the meantime. I'm not a big dater and for now I am going to put my focus into other things. At this point he's already pursued me twice, so I am sure he may try again, I feel I have a lot to offer the right person, but with this guy....maturity is definitely NOT there and you are right, he may be flaky or he found someone else for what he wanted in that very moment. Just have to wait and see and move on.
I am still not sure what to do about the car situation though? Should I take it to his uncles shop....I could give a different name and pay in cash? Do I come out with the fact that he referred me? Do I leave a note and thank him for the referral or send an email after my car gets worked on and let him know his uncle took good care of my novelty car? I really do need a good mechanic and I don't think he is deceitful about the credentials of his uncle, I did even see reviews on some websites.
I think that I have dodged the bullet for now, but I appreciate your male point of view, that's what I thought too....![]()
