I agree with OP. I personally believe in the 'waiting for the marriage' thing, and in my point of view it's something that both of us have something to look forward to. Well that's just the way I was brought up. Love to see many more opinions on this topic

I think your rules are a bit too harsh. 6 months of a platonic relationship will only convince a guy that he is firmly in the friend-zone and you will be left lonely while he goes off to find someone less rigid.

With my last boyfriend we waiting 3 months but that was because I don't have sex lightly and I didn't want to be hurt. He respected this but during that 3 months we were still boyfriend and girlfriend and in a loving relationship. I don't think I'll wait as long next time around (depends on the guy) but waiting until marriage is OUT OF THE QUESTION. Unless your plan is to marry someone uber religious good luck finding any guy (even the nice ones) to agree to that. Also, as a woman going years and years without sex sounds like a HORRIBLE idea and a waste of my youth.
