I believe the proper term nowadays is "Buccaneer-American".

hehe.. there's nothing wrong with making yourselves look nice
In general, it's an industry that's bound to grow. Gillette and Nivea are marketing their "for men" ranges and I think it was marketing person from Nivea who claimed that the market can grow as big as the womens grooming market already is. I know a lot of guys would say "no way!" but it's not like they're trying to sell men make-up. They're selling.. shaving creams or whatever... in manly silver packaging. I bet they'll make a beard shampoo, if they haven't already...
well.. prepare to be sickened a lot more in the future then. Look around you, you'll notice a lot of men using face creams and shit which they wouldn't have before. heck, look in your own bathroom cabinet, maybe you already have some of these things. It's gonna be a really interesting time for that industry, though mainly I'm I want to see if their marketing can slip into even the most macho man's subconscious. Right now marketing guys are sitting 'round a table somewhere trying to figure out how to make you buy their new stuff.. liike, say, get a manly celebrity with an enviable lifestyle to be in the adverts.
(yup.. I like my marketing class)
I used to search the internet for girls, whether it be hard or softcore. I don't dabble in it anymore and I no longer get those fantasy crushes as I did when I was a youngin'.
take heart, I don't wear make-up or use moisturiser or any of that. though I wouldn't mind using some kind of skin cream if I could actually find one that I liked, maybe with a little sun block in it cos that is something that is proven, unlike all that pseudo science in those adverts..
I am border line on the metrosexual thing, but I ain't going to cross. The stuff I use has a purpose and reason for it more than to make my self look good.
Tiay - I am happy that you don't wear make up. Because I find that girls that either wear little or no make up tend to be more confident in them selves and like the way they look.
Besides basic maintenance on my occasional pimple or blackhead I don't do much in the way of making myself look pretty.
Well, besides not shampooing my hair so it gets nice and slick.
Makes me look sexy.
Like I said heres the girls I find beautiful and attractive:
Adriana Lima
Jessica Alba
Ciara Haris
Anne Hathaway
Kristin Cavallari
Amanda Bynes
I know all of these girls are out of my league and I will never get a chance with any of them, but they are at least close to my age tho lol. But quiet frankly I don't think I could deal with all the press these girls have to put up with.
the top one is gorgeous, damn her. Amanda Bynes is way too skinny, though.. sure, with a few people doing my hair and telling me what to wear, I could easily be in one of those photos I suspect a lot of girls could too, but are fooled by all the glitz.
yeah, I that's true. I'd like to think it's because of attitude, though I know my friends would insist that it's simply because I have "good skin" and they don't, thus having to wear makeup. Though, when I see them without makeup, their skin looks fine.
