But you know, this is the problem:
1) You say one kind of tongue-in-cheek comment about someone being Sicilian or Chinese once and people cry racism. 2) You mention how stupid and bigoted and hypocritical and violent Christians are over and over and over and over, and nobody considers it a problem. Why? Because 1) it's almost the "cool thing" to show you aren't racist and go way out of your way to do so, and 2) you agree with this because it is the acceptable group to hate
DM, why do you HATE any group?
Seriously, you should think about this. 'Hate' is a very strong term. I have yet to meet anyone in my life that I would feel this strongly about. I can *imagine* an individual who I might use this term with, but they would have to have done something VERY awful to earn a title like this.
Great! Maybe you can be the first person to give me a good reason for doing this-
In a crowded dorm with paper-thin walls, why would you leave your door wide open and play music (ANY music) loud on your speakers? ESPECIALLY when you are sitting at your computer for most of it. There is no excuse to not wear headphones
My roommate says he likes the quality from his speakers more and the suitemate says he likes being able to walk around. If you ask me both are piss poor excuses. When I ask my suitemate to turn it down he does, but when I suggested that he just uses his headphones he opted to turn down the volume on his speakers instead
WHY????
DM, I am certain your dorm has noise rules. If you want, I can look up the Cornell rules for you, but I'm sure you can do it more easily than I. Speak to your dorm mom/dad about this, this is often a faculty member. Nowadays, there is no excuse for ppl to not use private headphones.

Actually I'm looking into transfering into a single for second semester
Oh, I was just responding to his post. I didn't care about to investigate prior posts of his. I hate dumb ass remarks like that though.
And I'm "gung ho" about the Asian thing because I've dealt with it quite a bit. And by looking at responses to the thread, me and Fras weren't the only ones who thought it offensive. I thought it was unnecessarily descript and irrelevant to anything you were trying rant about. Maybe it sounds oversensitive, but racial stereotyping has affected me greatly and I think a lot of people know why.
I would elaborate more but I'm out and feeling weird that I'm posting this while I'm away from home.
no autographs, please!

Life is ... Too Short.

i like repetition too. i play the same songs over and over again.
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.
I'm sorry I offended you tooxshort. Honestly? I didn't mentioning Sicilians or Chinese would offend anyone, like Fras thought I was trying to do. I don't really see HOW it could offend anyone
Like I said, in high school people regularly hated on Italians, it was pretty much the popular thing to do. And the teaches gave a pass on it. But big deal. I'm not hating on Sicilians or Chinese here. So yes, I think you gyus are being over sensitive about it
IF I regularly trashtalked Sicilians or Chinese people (which I didn't do once in this thread) then you would have a good reason, like people do to Christianity. Of course that's ACTUAL trashtalking and it IS tolerated
