In the meantime, as long as you're respectful and responsible I don't see a problem. Yes, you're preying on the weakened girl who's just been dumped. Frankly, she probably knows this. She doesn't really think you're her savior. She's just needy. There's nothing wrong with that, for either of you.

I'd like to see you get a better schtick together than the "I have a lot of problems and you deserve better" speech after going almost NC on somebody, though. That, in my opinion, is beneath you. You should look at this life's lesson: girls don't ****ing listen. They hear what they want to hear as long as your actions provide a framework upon which to weave their little fantasies. This gives you license to be completely honest about your availability at the very beginning and still get laid for a few weeks or even months until you begin to tire of her.

You can tell a girl that you are in no way available or interested in a relationship on date one and as long as you are sufficiently charming and attentive, she won't even remember you said it until she's trying to have that talk about dating exclusively and you remind her. A smart girl won't sleep with you until you're exclusive. Most girls will.

There's no need for a guy as clever as you are to keep putting up a "boyfriend" ruse until you get what you want, then acting like a complete shit at the end. Have some self-respect. You can do better than that.
