Ok, I have a new scenario.

Four guys walking down a street, three of them very close to each other (like a foot from each other) and the fourth one at about 5 feet from them, but talking to them. Three girls come from the opposite direction talking about their stuff, one of them starts looking at guy #4 and when he looks back she smiles without stopping looking at him - at least until he stops looking after 20 seconds or so.

That can't be a sign of anything, right?

Does guy number four appear to be normal compared to the other guys? I mean, the staring could be caused by anything. He could be attractive, or it could be because he has a bright orange 'fro that is 26" in diameter which you failed to mention.

Umm... nope nothing weird that I know of, just jeans, a t-shirt and "normal" hair.

Nope.. and she didn't look at "his" jeans (at least not for long enough for me to realize), just face. Now that I think of it, the t-shirt had a stick man with an ax in his head.

EDIT: in case it changes anything, the girl was extremely good looking, model-like (not one of those anorexic models, but a good one)
