If I found out my daughter/son had fought back to a teacher like that, I would punish her/him.
The teacher should have made her/him take the bag to her, instead of physically taking it from her/him.

Yes ofcourse lol. Kid who have the caurage to stand up against twice bigger person in size and social status will give you that bag with good will. Some people are just very unique, out of this dimension lol.

Meh, he was just using physical strength... doesn't mean he was corageous, probably just a smart-ass. She should have made him feel her authority without using physical actions, would have made a much bigger impact.

Rough school district, exeter?
I saw someone spit in the face of an elderly woman at the mall because she was upset he was swearing at her for taking too long -- there were several peeps ahead of me.
Security got on the guy quick.
I don't care how long someone took in line I would just ****ing wait and if late explain it to who ever after, spitting on an elderly woman shows you are TRASH.

Witness a douche hit and kill a families pet dog in a neighborhood subdivision area -- ****er was speeding for limit in area and right over the dog, I got a partial plate and gave police a car descript.
I have 2 dogs and infuriates me that - 1 the asshole was speeding in an area kids play in streets and 2 - families dogs and cats occasionally roam.
Peeps are loser cowards, like ones who hit and run on pedestrians or hitting parked cars.

Yup. I never had to, but I would've if my kids had been sufficiently unpredictable and impulsive.
I read a story years ago - an Op-Ed in the newspaper by a man who'd been adamantly opposed to harnesses and leads for children... until one day his three year old saw something in a shop-front on the other side of the street, yanked his hand out of his fathers and tried to run across the street. He was killed instantly. That father has to spend the rest of his life regretting that he didn't have him adequately under control, the driver of that car has to live with the fact that he killed a small child, and that child's life is prematurely ended.
Which is worse, that or the leash?
I've never really seen anything quite as horrible as people here have, but I've experienced a few. Mostly involving my mother.
at least you did the right thing, even if the driver didn't. my mom would leave her info on cars she hit, yeah she is and was a horrible driver but she always took responsibility for her actions & damage. not that many do.
i saw two teen pos spit on a baby in a stroller in the mall recently. are people getting worse?

My son had a harness when he was young. It was a very well-informed decision on our part to use one. We lived in a large US city and it gave him a sense of freedom and independence that he could not otherwise have enjoyed. I have wonderful memories of him toddling the edge of the pond, climbing things, walking beside me at the museum -- happy as a clam b/c he was able to do this for himself without helicopter parents hovering.
A harness is a tool. Like other tools, its about how they are used and why.

Ya back in the late 60's my neighbor used one for their daughter when over at my house because we didn't have a fenced in yard and of course we were too young to watch a toddler.....I don't see it as cruel, but a safer way to handle a toddler that doesn't know any better....my god they sure can get away from you fast.
