I have dated plenty of women who didn't like condoms either and who voluntarily went on BC pills. Not all women are affected the same way. No they shouldn't be forced into it, but if you're talking about JUST birth control (ie you've both been tested and are STD free) there are many other options besides condoms and the pill
This is a prime example of why I abhor abstinence-only education. I live in a white-collar community that takes an obscene amount of pride in itself and its school system; yet, my daughter came home from school last year commenting on how condoms don't work.
We all bear the weight of our choices equally. Your sexual health is your responsibility and no one else's. There are worse things than becoming pregnant. Read up on your options and make an informed decision that best suits your needs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birth_control
baha!! My son actually told the abstinence-only instructor he thought it was irresponsible to tell kids that condoms don't are useless, and that it was like saying bicycle helmets are useless. He was in 7th grade, and he was the only kid in class who wouldn't take the abstinence pledge.
BTW - our school system was sued because of their stupid sex ed program. You should look into who is teaching your program. Ours was being taught by volunteers from a local church.
Any intercourse I have ever had has been with the use of condoms.
100% effective so far.
I feel like if your condom breaks or something ridiculous like that, you probably did something wrong before there was a problem with your condom.
Expired.
Not enough lube.
Rough sex, or incorrect condom size.
Hell, I'll admit we almost had an incident where the condom began to slowly work it's way off, and in the heat of the moment I wasn't sure of what was happening but I remember thinking (man, this feels really good!), alarms starting going off in my head and I reached down to find the condom was only half way on when I pulled out to check it.

Just to bring this thread back on track:
we should build a statue for women, because of the huge cross they have to bear.
Then we should build a bigger statue for the men, because they have to listen to this.
Ladies, it is NOT the males fault that you are unable to pick suitable, reliable and responsible partners. You made that choice.
Remember: you point at someone, three fingers point back at you.
Now get out the frying pans and start hitting me over the head with them![]()

Good for him! My daughter has what probably amounts to an unhealthy level of respect for authority figures and often neglects to question some of the stupidity that comes from those that claim to be experts. She is getting better at it though.
The program is taught by the Health Studies teacher so I get to live with the uneasy feeling that my tax dollars are helping to spread ignorance. I've spoken to the school board and PTA but the general consensus is that the funds received from the program outweighs the ethics of educating young people on how to manage their sexual health. While I agree with the school system that it is an issue more appropriately taught in the home, the general apathy of parents toward the whole of their parenting responsibilities, let alone matters of sex in which they do not view their precious innocent little babes as sexual beings, makes this an unreliable and unconscionable alternative.
pingoin - It's silly that I feel the need to clarify this, since I know no one cares, but for the record - my son is a total nerd, and very academic. He is not one to challenge authority, even now that he is older. He apologized profusely for disagreeing, but felt that on moral grounds it was wrong to spread misinformation that could potentially lead to death (he was thinking about HIV). He had benefit of a lot of educating at home because I don't trust the faculty at school to teach about sexual health or morality issues.
F that. I wear a condom and make her take the pills. Better safe than sorry.
"Why are you an atheist?"
"because I paid attention in science class."
Some time ago I`ve read that the scientists are working on birth control pills for men . Hum humFINALLY
