    Eye make-up / Irritation

So I had a vision appt last night and my vision / eyes seem to be perfect however i am still getting bad headaches / irritation when I wear eye make-up. I mostly wear Dior / Lancome brands at present time. Are there any other brands that could be recommended for sensitive eyes?

right, but on some occasions it is mandatory to wear make up. such as meetings/parties.

Mandatory according to whom? Do you have contractual obligations that specify you have to wear make-up?

Or.. is it because everybody else wears make-up?

    I'm serious here.

It's not because everybody else jumps of a cliff, that you have to.

My grandma had a saying: if it hurts, don't do it.

i might just have to assume that position if nothing helps. i am just tired of spending loads of money on make-up and then giving it to others.

OK, this is my personal opinion of course, and opinions may differ.

    I don't like women with make-up.

It seems not natural to me.

If people can't accept you without makeup, then what's the point eh?

Not sure if I make sense the way I am saying it.

It's nothing personal towards you, it's just the way I experience things.

Maybe you are allergic to a particular ingredient that is used in both those brands. I would just try out some lesser expensive type of mascaras until you find one that works for you. Maybe you can compare ingredients (are they labeled like food?)...

Honestly, I don't see any difference in quality between the expensive mascaras and the ones from the drug store. (That isn't true of eye shadows, though.)

In what aspect are you seeing a diiference? I've been using L'oreal Voluminous for years, and when I bought MAC, there was no diffference except in price.

    MAC eye shadows rock, though.

BTW - I genuinely think that men who claim to not like makeup have been overly exposed to women who don't know how to apply it. I've only seen one female who looks better without mascara than with - and that is my daughter whose eyelashes are ridiculously long. When she wears mascara, she looks like she has camel eyes. haha

I was seeing a dental assistant few months back and she never wore any makeup. I totally loved her look because it was just her without all that crap on. Now she could have used a lipstick and her eyes looked kinda tired but you know what..i wouldn't want it any other way..
