    Pointers for a lasting relationship

Hi all. It's been awhile since i posted but i would like to know from those experienced in relationships on how to spice up the relationship. I've been with this girl for almost 4 months now and we had a few problems here and there but i want to make this relationship work. I was wondering if any of you got any pointers you would be willing to share? Thanks.
We all should look out for the finer things in life~

Yeah. Drop back down to second gear and don't push it 'til it's ready to go.

communication no doubt! Dont go to bed mad either. You have to talk about things or work things out with another. When you pent up whats going on, and down the road it explodes people can some nasty things and regret it. Always try to communicate effectively!
everything happens for a reason...beginning to wonder why.

    Learn to say "yes, dear".
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

It's only been 4 months, and it needs "spicing up" already?

Oh, yes. That has worked very well for me over the years. Only problem with it was I couldn't find my balls for the duration of doing it.

What kinds of things are looking for and why do you need to spice up a 4 month old relationship? Things shouldn't be dull already!

I've found the phrase "You're Right" very useful when trying to go to sleep.
"Oh Lord it's hard to be humble, when you're perfect in every way. I can't wait to look in the mirror, cause I get better loking each day. To know me is to love me, I must be a hell of a man. Oh Lord it's hard to be humble, but I'm doing the best that I can." Mac Davis

Agreed. If things are already bad this early on, its hard to see much hope.

I think it is. You have to learn to pick your battles with both spouses and children.

But I agree with the other posters who say that if one needs to spice things up after only four months, that isn't a good sign.

I think that after four months, you shouldn't be in too big of a rut, so if you are..bad sign. As for the little things, try new things together. I'm taking a class actually, about making relationships work, for my psych degree. When couples try new things together, they grow together and further their enjoyment of their time together. More than that, do sweet little things for the girl. It's common sense, but little surprises and love notes and stuff are always much appreciated and add a bit of spice! Hope it helps!

Why are you all so pesimistic? From what I can tell their relationship is going great but he is just thinking ahead and trying to avoid anything potential future ruts.

With that in mind, the above advice is all good.

For the things that don't really matter, yes, this goes for the WOMEN too.

But for the things that DO matter... Better find your balls, like Hayward says, else is death for a longterm relationship.

Truth. Pick your battles. Did someone already say this???

Now, what's going on (or what isn't) that you are bored at 4 months??
