Need a guy's view point..?

i have a frnd who invites me most of the time when he has no one to accompany...well though i dont mind going out with him bt he always adds like "no one else is willing to go",,,, why does he have to say that? I mean cant he ask me out normally without ever adding the above tagline? guys do have any idea? wanna know if its normal for a guy to say like that?
when i ask him out he will at times say like "can go, since no one to accompany"... i mean at times it makes me feel as if he doing me big favour

To be honest, this guy seems to be an asshole trying to use you for "Company", but, making sure you don't ask for a relationship. I think he's not worth your time lass :/

Mate, piss off, people are here for advice, if you don't want to answer them then don't, I'm pretty sure you have these thoughts once in a while at least some people are trying to make an effort, she may be hurt over this guy, I know how it feels to be powerless to someone you love. It's hard to "Move On" I was lucky, I JUST escaped a very narrow self destruction over someone who I was madly in love with, not everyone is that lucky...
