So confused about my friend

So my male friend Jamie and i have been friends for at least 3 years now. Since the beginning he made it completely clear he was in love with me but due to me having a boyfriend and perhaps other shallow reasons, i just kept him as a friend. Whenever another girl got interested in him i used to get so jealous, and almost angry at him and i have no idea why, because its not like i wanted to be with him myself.

Recently he's gone off to university, we've gone from talking every single day to barely talking at all and now he has another girl he's interested in, who is, i add completely gorgeous. I have no idea why im so jealous and i dont know how to get ride of these feelings. Does it mean i like him or am i just missing my best friend?

That's not fair, Laura. Let him pursue that girl without trying to poison the thing. You owe him this.

Either you just liked the attention that you got from him liking you and you should stay away or you forced yourself not to like him and u do have feelings. Could go either way, but its hard to see underlying stuff from across the internet. IMO though sounds like the first.. let the poor guy go, you've done enough if that is the case..
