What were the reasons why you split up and who initiated the break up?
    Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
    God or the Devil

Just treat her as a friend. Erase every vestige of intimacies you shared together earlier from your mind and heart and get on with the business of creating new intimacies of a better quality and caliber. What's so difficult about that? Hell, it should be a joy, I'd think, to have the opportunity to show my stuff and what I'm really made of. Do it well and she'll come back in her own way and time. May not be the same person when she does, but so what? You won't be the same person, either.

You apply the 3 to 4 week absolutely no contact rule to yourself. And I mean: totally NO contact. No talking, no phone, no msn, no texting.. nothing.. nada.

By then you should be enough relationship detoxed to be able to realize you're no longer with her.

Note: it's becomming somewhat tiresome to tell people the same thing over and over again.

LOL! Pleased to see I'm not alone in that sentiment!
