Why do people cheat?

Hi guys,

What your opinion on why people cheat? insecurity? a bit of fun?

I have never cheated myself, so don't really undesrtand why people do, they have no will power? Surely if you want to play around...be single...right? x

people cheat for many different reasons. the only girl who cheated on me was seeking vengeance. it was her mistake and loss, because she thought i would stay with her and put up with that bullshit.

also, nowadays, most people only want sex, and shit like that.

People cheat because they're insecure and completely self-involved. There are of course exceptions but that tends to be the rule

I think under the right circumstances, almost anyone is capable. Of course, what constitutes the right circumstances would vary from person to person.

I think people cheat because either they are bored of the relationship. Or maybe its just to feel connected to someone that isnt your parner and to see how far it will go. Maybe your parner will forgive you.

I can't understand it either. I've never been cheated on, but I have been the one the girl was cheating with (I didn't know it until after the fact).
My guess is that they're bored with the person they are with, they are concieted and think that their partner will forgive them. Then there's the reasons mentioned above by others.
To me, I just couldn't do that, to do that to someone you care about so much. Under no circumstances would I cheat on a SO, minus the 'gun to the head' situation.

I guess I'm in the minority because in order for me to have sex with anyone, I have to love them, and I do mean truely love them. I had changed it to that they had to an important person to me and that I cared a lot about them, but that got me hurt and well, that's another story. So in order for me to cheat on someone, it would take a lot, seeing as I would have to be in love with them while in a relationship with someone else, and I just don't ever see that happening.

I think people cheat because they get bored with their current relationship and don't know how to leave it. They look for that thrill or excitement they had at the beginning. At least this is true for some.

I never did understand cheating. Personally I would rather end things the right way before leaping into something else.
