    weirdest thing you've ever eaten

alright, i know that there are many different ethnicities out there, and there are many different delicacies in each ethnic group. i'm just wondering what are some of the crazy things that you might have eating which is considered a delicacy in your ethnicity but disgusting in another.

me, i love oysters.. also i have eaten sea urchin is with horrible but the japanese people love it. i also love eel, raw fish, ikura (salmon eggs), what else is there that people might find weird. oh... natto, it can eat it sometimes. it's fermented beans that smell like shit haha. other than that, tell me a few things that you have tried.

i personally will never try rocky mountain oysters.. haha. that is just too far for me.

OMG I was so thinking of the Rocky Mtn. Oysters...ewww I wont try those either. Ok for me, the wierdest thing was turtle and octupus. Funny cause the turtle DID taste just like chicken! Im not one for trying too many new things in the food category. Kinda stick to the norm, mac and cheese and corndogs.

Escargot (snails dipped in butter sauce). Oysters, sushi, octopus, white rice mixed with ketchup (one of my FAVORITES!), bull testicles (once in spain after a bullfight . . . it's considered quite a delicacy and costs a lot since there's only two after every bullfight, but my uncle felt it was time for us to try something new) and probably a few others that escape me at the moment (of course I'm leaving out my ten days of "survival training" in military school where I ate much wierder things . . . )

When it comes to food, I'm of the mentality, "I'll try anything at least ONCE."

i think that it's really weird how people can love to eat crab and lobster, but cringe at the thought of eating oysters.

A jar of pickles this morning. *euwgh* I feel sort of gross now.

I've tried all of the mentioned above (except for bull's testicles - THAT I will never. you hear me never) and I've also tried fried crocodile meat. Pretty good, actually. Let's see what else...oh I've had LIVE oysters in Africa. They're sort of squishy and they make squealing noises when you eat them. *muhahaha*
I have it all. Including kino.

Argh, I can see those eyes staring at me.

The oddest thing I've ever eaten was calves testicles - it's a delicacy in France apparently. They look really odd though - kind of like large lumps of cooked turkey mince. Don't think I'd do it again.

So do we have any takers for Fear Factor? Uh not me. PRobably the only thing that would keep my ass off of that show. Theres not ONE thing that I could possibly digest without hurling before I even get it to my mouth!

I've had rabbit eyes (although this does go into that whole survival training period). A little salty. I also really REALLY liked their kidneys. EXCELLENT!

I tried the frog legs at at Thai restaurant once. kinda tastes like a dry meat of the sea-food variety...except more amphibious...

On the more ethinic front, I've had this rattlesnake powder..they kind of crush and grind a rattlesnake into a kind of powder...I don't know how it's seasoned or cooked, but the powder is alright..kinda salty and you can feel the crushed bones. It's not a fine, fine powder..just kinda like sawdust texture..
