Can you give us a few more details? You were dating the guy? How long? Did anything happen prior to that e-mail? Reason given by the guy? etc...
Be careful with your heart, because when someone seems too good to be true, they usually are.

Of course I don't know all of the details of the situation, but I will say that generally guys don't play games. If he says he doesn't want you to contact him, it probably means he doesn't want you to contact him.
