So today I heard that this movie is about two gay cowboys up in the mountains; Im not sure if someone was kidding around with me or not, but that's what I heard.
My first thought was of TAVS; sorry buddy, I know you don't swing that way.
Who is the target audience for this? Gays? And.....?
Also, ANY and I mean any guy that goes to see this has to be out of their freakin mind; even if the girlfriend or whatever wants to. Gotta be a man about this and put your foot down.
Now, there's nothing wrong with being gay, of course, but the "Do my glasses look gay" thread made me think about how today's society is basically saying it's ok to be a pansy-@ssed fairy man. I mean, the "gay look" attracts more women? Huh?
C'mom, older peeps speak up and support me here. John Wayne? Men's men?

It's been discussed on every forum I visit. Yee-Haw.
Anyway, I dont know who the target audience is but I can tell you it's nominated for 7 Golden Globes.
I'm most disappointed cause one of the main characters is played by Heath Ledger, whom I like as an actor, but has been really disappointing lately.

I can't wait to see Brokeback Mountian, but mostly that is because movies that "normalize" homosexuality outrage the right-wingers so much!! Besides, the movie actually looks like it was beautifully made, and everyone knows that homosexual men often take better care of themselves and have more style than straight men.
I thought of TAVS, too, when I saw the preview. ::sheepish::

lol when we went to see king kong the other day mikey pointed out the poster for that movie. he was all, "hey you know what that movie's about? it's about TWO GAY COWBOYS can you ****in believe that you gotta be kidding me."
so yeah, i won't even ask him to take me.

i like movies about love that have nothing to do with "normal" love too. king kong was good because it was a woman and a gorilla. harold and maude cause one was a teenager and the other was an old woman. etc. etc. so i think i'd like this too.

I actually think that the guys end up marrying women in the end. It really looks good misombra. Too bad you don't live nearby; I would go with you. My husband wouldn't go see this movie either.

me and a friend are planning on a little road trip to l.a. in the spring. i have an aunt that lives in san gabriel so i go out and stay with her. when i do we will hang out and watch brokeback tavs. i mean mountain.
