In my experience the "break" is just a trial seperation to see if both of you will be happier on your own or with someone else. Usually, things are better that way and it leads to full seperation. Even if it doesn't I'm sure there will be a second break. Once you have that first break it's easy to do it again and again and again until you're seperated for good.
I won't agree to the "break" again. If it ever comes to that with someone else I'm promising myself I will just say "with me or without me babe?" and walk away. I couldn't bear the charade of another break.
I ain't got time to break!

Sure - but what does that say for those couples that break up and get back together a bunch of times and then eventually are happily married.....
I can think of two close couple friends of mine that are like that.
True, though - they are an anomaly.
