Ok, here's my sit-e-ation:
I go to this bookstore the next town over, a LOT. I'm there a couple times a month, sometimes a couple times a week. There's this girl there who has been working there a long time. I tried to talk to her once long ago. She seemed to be into it, but then I mentioned that I saw her on the special computers at the college we both go to, and she said yeah, then I asked if it was for graphic design and she got weirded out that I knew that. I got out of there at that point thinking I blew it. But lately, I've gotten the confidence to talk to her. I have a little plan for it. I don't mean to overanalyze or over think, but I do anyway. Here's the plan, and thoughts, opinions, things I missed?
oh before I begin, I'm 5'10 and she's gotta be 6'1 or 6'2. You think that'll be a problem? I mean, it didn't seem to be before, and she's probably taller than most if not nearly all guys that she meets. It doesn't bother me at all.
here goes:
I recently started training in kendo. I aske dmy instructor if I could have some flyers to put up, help promote the place cause it just opened. So I got a few. I thought I could go up to her and ask her if it would be ok for me to put them up on the bulletin board the bookstore has. Then I'd say thanks, this will earn me some points with my instructor, and then I will ask her, between the 2 of us, if this bookstore is a good place to work at. I'll mention that at the college we go to I saw a poster saying that it wasn't and that it should be boycotted. Then I'll make a joke about how crazy my boss is. I'll thank her again and introduce myself, and then say I enjoyed talking to her. Then if everything goes alright, I'll talk to her, just say hi and make a little small talk, then if there gets to be a third or fourth time, ask her if she'd like to grab a cup of coffee sometime.
I think that's a pretty good plan, I mean, if I asked her out right away that might scare her off. I'll try this on monday, cause I don't know when she works, and that's the last time i saw her.
What do you think?
