Best thing is to go to a place that has it and buy it. Or order it and have it delivered to that store and say that you want to pick it up since it's a "present" for your significant other in the same house and don't want to give any clues away by recieving it in the mail. There's a million ways to lie your way into picking it up at your local bookstore. Or if you're feeling sheepish, your NOT so local one.

PS - Me, being the unashamed person I am, would probably not only pick it up but show the cashier the positions I'm looking forward to trying. This is coming from a guy who, just to embarress his friends, took a trip into Frederick's of Hollywood, had the cashier hand pick various items of clothing that I forced her to say would look nice on me, then went into the dressing room to try them on and called all my friends by name to come tell me their honest opinion as to how they looked. None of them came, but I definitely got them good.
