Alright... where to start....

To keep it really short, Mom told one of her friends how much money I make. Now, her friend is all over me. She's touching my hand, my arm, saying things like "I miss you," and, "can I be your secretary?"

I don't respond to any of it because it makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. Oh, she also said that when I'm older I'm going to take care of her and my mom.



I talked to my mom about it, and she said she won't say anything to her friends anymore. I still feel uncomfortable around her friend, and I don't want to bring it up. Is there anything to do other than avoid her?

Also, I should include the fact that her friend is extremely obese, which makes things that much worse.

bro ive had my moms friends hit on me once or twice before lol its sooo awkward. i just avoid them kinda, i mean be nice if u get stuck in a convo but get out as quick as possible... i use excuses such as

seriously though, I can't think of anything other than ignore it and avoid her. hahah the touching thing reminds me of bush giving the german chancellor an unwanted shoulder rub from behind, lol. *ahem* yeah, so if it continues you'll have to be more confrontational and tell her to back off. (edit) tho I'm sure she'll get the message. or, you could always have your mom talk to her instead.

No, I don't want my mom to talk to her because that's my mom handling my business. As of right now I think I'll just avoid her as much as possible, unless somebody comes up with something better.

Alright, I just gave Mom the details. Apparently, she just said "he makes more than me," and didn't really specify numbers. She giggled at what her friend did, even though it made me extremely uncomfortable.... My cousin called her a whore (in Arabic, because we're awesome).

Eh, I suppose it doesn't really matter since it's online.... I make $45 per hour, and I'll probably be getting a raise soon. I am 16.

Yep, both. I make the hourly income as a web developer, but it sucks because I don't want to have to work hourly. I want to be able to develop a piece of software and let all the money come in by itself, but it'll take a while before that happens.

Zarathu I have been there done that. I guess I am lucky becuase I can get any mom I want to around my little pinky, and basically get away with murder infront of them. But your mom started the problems there fore on this issuse she is invloded in your business with this other mom. I would have told your mom to tell this other mom to stop what she (the other mom) is doing. Your mom should also not be telling other people how much or even tell that you make more than her. Unless this is a culture thing.

As far as what you make per hour, consider you self lucky. You may not like working per hour, but considering the IT industry current state and how most companies view people in the IT departments, your doing better than most. Also if I was making that much I would be investing it in CD's and in money accounts to make more money.

I get them from a friend of mine. He always supplies me with business, it's constant. I always have at least one project to be working on. [url]www.captured-time.com[/url] is the project I just finished, and he's getting it ready to be made live. I made the "Coming Soon" image too.
