Salaam! Zarathu will be so excited to have another Lebanese person on the forum.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Yeah, I'm Lebanese too. I also rule the Universe. If you want, you can come rule it with me....

I live in Texas, but I go visit every year (except for the last summer, due to the war).

Anyway, welcome.

I eat taouk with my cousin every Saturday by these Lebanese guys that make it like it's in Lebanon. It's very satisfying.

Wikipedia is wrong, and nobody has bothered to change it because nobody knows.

Shish taouk looks like this, except with pita bread:
http://www.frankslebanesefood.com.au/images/mainshishtaouk.jpg

Kabob looks like this:
http://www.jerusalemrestaurant.com/Sheesh_Kabob/IMAG001.GIF

Notice, "shish kabob" and "shish taouk."

"Taouk" != "Kabob"

Done.
