    Need HELP and CLARITY!!

    k, here's the situation

Guy breaks girls heart, but still contacts girl every couple months for over a year after breakup. Girl always tells guy to leave her alone whenever guy calls, but guy just doesn't listen. Now, over a year after breakup, girl finally lets guy talk and guy says that he still loves girl as girl is the only one that understands him and girl was always there for him but guy wants to remain "friends" (whatever that means) and says he will do whatever it takes to regain the trust and bond that was once broken.

Girl is afraid of being hurt again but of course...girl still loves guy.

    What does girl do?

Does she give him a chance to rebuild the friendship?

Does she contact guy at all or just let him initiate all contact?
or does she just again tell guy to leave her alone (even though guy is persistent and probably won't)

Girl is oh so confused and needs some advice.

i would probably tell girl to talk to him if she wants to. don't talk to him if she doesn't.

either way girl shouldn't expect that something more will come from the friendship.
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.

Was girl dating Bennyzilla? Just wondering...

Anyway, girl, nobody made you pick up the phone.

What were the details of the heartbreak?

    Details?

When guy broke up with girl he was disrespectful...didn't even call to say it was over, lied, basically just went back on his word. It was a really sticky situation to begin with, but after the breakup he never really let go of girl and obviously since girl never 100% ignored him (ie. change her phone #), she never really let go of him either.

Anyway, guy would send text msgs, emails, call, asking how girl is, if girl is happy, how's this & that blah blah...girl would give short answers, ask what do he wants and then just proceed to hang up on him.

Now over a year after initial breakup, girl, wanting to hear what guy really has to say after not leaving her alone after dumping her, answers the phone and lets him talk ( I mean, like, 3 hours talk) and guy says I still love you, I'm sorry, will do whatever it takes to make it up, never wants to let girl out of his life no matter what, and wants to be friends, etc.

girl of course has issues with trusting him, but really does still love him.

Ok...it's me, I'm girl (had ya fooled didn't I? lol)

Anyways, the truth is, I really love this guy. I mean, I can't excuse his past behaviour, and I won't, but I love him. The thing is, I'm afraid of being hurt again. I guess more than advice, I want to know what kind of mindset I'd have to have in order to start speaking with him again.

I wouldn't rely on him for anything.

If you can handle being his friend then fine, but I doubt its gonna go anywhere. You have reason to be afraid of being hurt again by him.

If you want to talk to him, do it. If not, then let it go.

    This advice, is horrible.

**** this guy. Seriously. The biggest parts of people's character RARELY change. Period.

He's not good enough for you. Suck it up, and move on.
