Unfortunately, a few days later the girlfriend has a serious accident resulting in permanent injuries.

The boyfriend then placed a letter by her side and here's the content:

Dearest,

Because of your sweet voice that I loved you then, now that you can't talk, therefore I cannot love you.

Because of your care and concern that I liked you then, now that you cannot show them, therefore, I cannot love you.

Because of your smile and your movements, I loved you then, now that you can't smile, now that you can't move, therefore, I can't love you.

If love needs a reason, like now, there is no reason for me to love you anymore.

Does love need a reason? Never, therefore, I still love you, and will love you forever and ever and ever.

We'd be lying together, next to each other and then she'd pop "Why do you love me?" out of nowhere. I would tell her all of my reasons and then lay there confused, wondering what brought that on.
