I think love is a strong natural desire forced on the mind so it is part right what you say...BUT I do not believe it is a necessity and that you will die if you will not find love....unlike food which you WILL die if you do not have some within 2 weeks.

I did not make a research on this but it explains why some old lonely people turn to pets.Its just a theory OV not that im implying that all pet lovers have them because theyre lonely.But lonely people could turn to pets so that theyd have something to love and at the same time feel loved. If they dont get this affection from anywhere then they could become bitter or suicidal.
