How to strike conversations at a restaraunt?

so there's this really cute girl that is the hostess/receptionist of this japanese restaraunt. You know, the ones that brings you to your table but doesnt wait tables, i think that is about right

Anyways i'm going there for dinner tommorow with my friends, anyone got any good ideas on how to start a conversation with her? seems a bit harder cause she doesnt wait tables.

Maybe you could ask her to show you how to use chopsticks...
Or, you can ask her to suggest something to eat...
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

sorry but that's probably closer to chinese even though it's still bullshit.

well when you first enter, ask the other hostess if she's single, that's a dead give away. f*ck it, if you get rejected who cares, BUT if she thinks you're cute then you might have a chance.

haha hmm interesting stuff, vashti, unfortunately. it's a dead giveaway that i know how to use chopsticks haha. Do people really ask whats good to eat to a hostess instead of a waiter? @illusional, haha no beating around the bush i see! might have to work up the courage for that one @_@

Just say thanks if she do some thing, for example if she show you a place to sit, or some thing like that, you can say...
    You: "Ok...thanks...ehmmm...what's your name again?"
    Her : "Maria ozawa"
    You : "Ohhh...yes...thanks again maria..."
Say her name...then repeat it again when your going to leave the restaurant. This is enough for start conversation...after you doing that (next when you go to that restaurant again) then you start to introduce your self ...

Tell her there's room for one more at your table, then waggle your eyebrows up and down.

well this night if obviously over, but if you didn't have the courage to do it yourself, you could always ask your friends to do it for you.

I'd be surprised if she responds. You'd better try Illusional's approach.

i was thinking about that, but it might seem desperate that i am only going there for her? haha. plus another thing is, hypothetically lets say i do ask her if she was single or not, then she answers yes, where would i go from there? be like "then would you like to go out sometime?" would seem to jump right on the boat a bit too fast lol

how the hell did you not have time to talk to her?? you were there for atleast an hour where at any time you could've walked away from your friends and talk to her, her coworkers, or atleast something. shit, if i were you'd i'd plan another dinner for this weekend. show her that you're interested and if she shuts you down, then you never return there again haha. when i was interested in this girl at the supermarket, shit i bought beer from her everyone other day. that is.. until she didn't wanna gimme her number, then i cut it down to buying beer on the weekends haha.
