Concerned for Friend

Alright I wasn't sure where to put this.. but.. maybe you can
give feedback!

this is kinda crazy..

My friend jason is 23, and a girl who lives in the basement suite is also 23. Nice gal, she just broke up with her boyfriend of 7 years about 3 weeks ago, he moved out and she still lives in the basement suite, and Jason and her have started something, she finally got him to agree to give it a shot. And at the bar friday night he was upset cause she was ignoring him, so he said "I'm done" but.. now hes agreed to give it a shot with her. Guess hes not done now! haha weord.. anyhoo...So they are pretty much bf/gf now. My concern is... don't you think thats a little soon for her?
and jason seems so unsure about giving it a shot, hes probably scared to get hurt.. which.. he could in this situation. Don't get me wrong, i'm not talking to any of them about this, or going to. I'm just sitting back, what are your opinions on this... crazed up situation.. as i like to call it!
