My son helped save a woman today

Kyle calls me at word today all happy. "Mom Im going to be on TV I saw this lady lose control of her car and she went over a bridge. The car was upside down in the water and I tried to get her out. Finally the police came and I helped still. She was dead, and they were able to revive her. I have two tv stations wanting to interview me!" I had the goosebumps! So I hurry to get home to watch the news, and damnit, they edited him out and took the other kids interview. You can see my son in the background on his cell phone talking. Hes so pissed right now. But I told him he still did the right thing.

I am such a proud mom!

    TV is overrated anyway.

    Helpin' people feels damn good.

I'd join the National Guard for that kind of stuff, but considering so many get sent to Iraq to help kill, I've lost interest.

Nothing beats being proud of your kid...
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

that's impressive. reminds me of the time i saved our neighbor's dog, although not quite as comparable, still analogical.

Good on him squirrely, people always like to think they'd help in those situations but often don't.

I've fetched a couple of half-drowned tourists out of the surf, but that's fairly common for Sydney surfers.

You must be so proud, Squirrley! He sounds like a good kid. Good for him for at least putting in an effort.....most people just stand around and wait for someone else to do something.

Thanks guys! The lady was in her late 60's. She's recovering in Venice hospital. When I watched the news cast, you could see Kyles car and and walking around. This lady is lucky to be alive. The officers couldnt say enough to Kyle for helping. He said alot of what he was doing he had learned in BC.

Way to go kiddo! This trumps taking the boat out!

This is the link to the interview. Kyles best friend called the TV station to say wtf??? apparently the newscaster had interviewed both kyle and him and the other guy was just an ass, but kyle was edited out. BS BS, a resource officer got the credit, BS again. Kyle couldnt outshine our fine Sarasota officers. Anyway you can see kyle walking around in the background talking to me! Im sad for him, because this was SOOOOOOOOOOOo Big for him.
