    Attention: College Students!

    Hello friends, it's me, Tone.

I have a simple question to all you pursuers of education out there - where do you live (apartment, with family, with S/O) and how do you pay for your bills (food, rent, etc)?

I'm trying to figure out a way that I can quit my full time job to work part time somewhere and focus on my school full time.

    Thanks in advance!

PS>> Hi shh!, sombra, Mish, indi, Giga, LV, OV, & crew! (Anyone hear from RK?)

    Have you applied for grants?

How's your college social life? We miss you.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Hi Tone, good to see you

I work full time and study part time only. This way I don't run into any financial problems. I'm in a house with friends at the moment.

Paying for food is not a problem. I don't eat a lot of meat. Fruit, veges and stuff for sandwiches is dead cheap. Fruit and veges for the week is about $15 at the markets. My full time job easily covers all of the expenses leaving me with a bit to spend for recreational activites and purposes.

What do you plan to study now that you've finished your course?

Well guys I'm not in yet, I still have to complete College Algebra which starts in January.

But I have completed 2 out of the 3 I needed!! Just this last hurdle and I'll be in this summer. I'm not chasin any college girls yet, shh! so we still have time to continue our affair.

I am going to apply for Fasfa on the 1st of January '08 thanks to the advice of Gribble & Sombra!

Mish, the program I am going for is Fisheries & Wildlife at the School of Natural Science @ the Univ of Nebraska here. I want to either work in wildlife conservation or some kind of wildlife biologist! But they do not offer late/night classes (I did ask when meeting with the program chair) so unless I want to get a job working the late shift (which I don't) I'm gonna have to figure something else out. Figured I'd ask around just to see what other college students have come up with to get by.

    Anyone need a roommate?

LV better be me, you big fat mother****er!

Anyway, my response won't be much help. I live in a dorm which is ridiculously overpriced. You should find a house for rent and move in with some buddies. Share the cost. Wouldn't that work?

Doesn't your family live in the area? Why don't you move back home?

I work two part-time jobs. Both jobs are slow-paced and involve sitting in front of a computer for extended periods of time. I do most of my studying while on the clock.

As for living arrangements, I bounce around. Sometimes I house sit for people. Sometimes I have roommates. Sometimes I find a really great deal on an apartment.

Students can apply for grants, or deferred interest loans. Parttime work in a restaurant can make you a lot of $$ for very little brain work. Just be careful you don't schedule too much time away from your studies.

Yeah I guess so, I dunno what I was hoping for with this thread. Was hoping there was something else out there.

I've tried asking around for roommates but most my friends are in the post-college lifestyle... either a family or living on their own and dont want to change that.

Oh well I'll figure somethin out. Probably move to the slums in a real cheap apt.

Enough about me, what's goin on w/ the regulars here?? Someone fill me in. Where's shorty? And what's goin on w/ Lloyd!?
