Believe it or not, but I was placed in the senior-level German class as a freshman. I'm finding it slightly difficult, mainly because I am not used to hearing/speaking German that often. I was caught by surprise on the first day of class; it was completely unexpected that English is forbidden during class time.
But I am finally learning something, and that's good. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed because of all the extra work I have to do to stay caught up (I am not familiar with quite a bit of the vocabulary) But I also notice that there are seniors in there that should be in a lower level class. I thought I was really far behind the other night, and I was up until about 2 in the morning doing work, only to find, the next day, that I was indeed ahead. Ay caramba!
The teacher is the same teacher that I posted about a while back, but things between us are okay, now. I've decided that if I do well in the course, that I will go to Germany next semester. Whoo!
edit: by senior-level, I mean the most advanced course offered by the university... not technically an actually senior(400)-level class.
