And so begins a new chapter in my life.
Just arrived today, I'll update you all tomorrow.

No shit! You just missed Mardis Gras right?
Yep, just missed it.
That's fine by me, though. I'm not big on the whole mardis gras celebration.
I don't need to throw my girlfriend beads to see her boobies.
whoa! I didn't realize this was going to happen so soon! Did you find a place to live with your other friends?
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
I lied, I'll update you guys later today, or tonight.
Yeah, I'm staying (on the couch), with a friend of Amy's and his girlfriend, along with two other people that are down here volunteering with Hands On New Orleans.
i can't wait to hear an update. when is amy coming? did she get out of her lease?
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.
ohh the suspense! I can't wait to hear the details.
hit up the bars...!!!

Alright, where to start...
Well, here I am in New Orleans, Louisiana...
...I started this 2 hours ago.
Within that 2 hours, I was out in the street playing badminton with my new roommates, got a phone call about an under the table job I responded to on craigslist.com which I'll give a go tomorrow morning, ate hand picked grapefruit and oranges from a local farmer and found out we're barbecuing steaks and seafood outside for dinner.
Yesterday we hung out with some of the old (and new) HONO (Hands On New Orleans for future reference) folks, Amy and I walked downtown to Cafe Du Monde for coffee then came back to the apartment where we accomplished her having 2 orgasms in an evening while everybody else was gone on a trip.
I've done more in the past 2 days than I would in 2 weeks in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Not only that, but many of the people that have left are coming back. There's somethin' about this place that just sucks you in.
So here I am at Reggie's apartment now, sleeping on the couch while I wait for the other two people leave so I can get their room. Amy was supposed to stay in the HONO volunteer bunkhouse free because she's temporarily employed by them, but there's no room, so she's staying with Kellie (HONO's bosswoman) until further notice.
sounds great!
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.
Now THAT is living! I never could understand the appeal of living in remote places like Oklahoma when you are young. It can suck the life out of you.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?
the only good part about living in the country in the vast amount of NOTHINGNESS.. and the fresh produce that you can grow. other than that, there's nothing else to do, but have sex in the fields with the farmer's daughter.

Yo, if any of yous would like to move down for a year or somethin', by all means.
Me, Ames and Tim will be needing another roommate come May. Or if you guys would simply like come down for a week or even a month to check out the city, once we have an apartment, you'll be free to stay. Just throwin' it out there.
I'm dead serious.
The people here have been so generous and welcoming, I want to share the sentiment.
That's what I love about this place. So many people that left, have come back, or are coming back. This place just sucks you in.
