    no sparks from sparky

So I was shallow and went out on a date with a boring guy. I knew he was boring, but he is good looking and has a good job.

So after our first date, full of awkward pauses in conversation, I was relieved to get out of there.

So how can something so miserable for me, be so great for him? He asked me out again!

Its a small town. Trying to think of a white lie to get out of going on another date. Problem is he does work for my employer, and can't afford to tick him off.

So tell me some sweet lies to use on this guy.

It's not him; it YOU. You are a closeted lesbian.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

    lol...ouch.

You said it's a small town...so it's going to be hard for someone who isn't in your shoes to give you ideas on what to lie about.

I say give the guy a chance...for all you know he's an awesome guy and just shy.

Was it really that bad? Aren't first dates always awkward, and full of pauses in the conversation?

I'd be interested to know, first of all, why you consider him 'boring'.

My first date with my now-bf was like that, but I gave him a couple more dates to prove himself (he was pretty shy initially) and he really impressed me (and made me question the theory of 'first impressions')
