we've been best friends for awhile now. i was like one of the guys but with a little bit of sexual tension and the occasional flirting. i never really thought anything of him before. but recently we ended up hooking up, i know so cliche. things arent the same as they used to be right now, but i feel like things are starting to look up. hes not the typical guy, hes a little bit on the reserved side. anyway, i feel like losing him made me realize my true feelings for him. i dont wanna ruin it anymore than it is, all the advice i ever get is to talk to him. i really need a guys perspective on this and i just wanna find out if the feelings are mutual. i wouldnt sacrific our friendship over it but i just need to know how i really feel and if he feels the same.

Maybe you need to find out how you feel. From my experience, guys operate more on logic, than feelings. If he can rationalize that you are a good catch, he will open up, I don't see any reason why he wouldn't go for you provided that you've already hooked up together.

How can you do this? Demonstrate you're a safe prospect (Everyone in his circle likes you and has nothing against you), be easy going and positive (don't weigh him down with anything, don't suggest something he may not be ready for), pin point positive re-inforcement (do/say little things that make him feel good about himself), show him that he's valued. If you two together makes sense, he will probably go for it.
