Getting to know a girl i like?

Now..down to business..

I've had a crush on this girl for quite a while. Recently I wrote in her honesty box on facebook:

well for starters i can at least know who i'm talking
to because there's really no point in "getting to
know someone" when i dont even know who i'm

After reading that I'm sure you think I'm an idiot..but that's what happened. :S


After that On MSN, I DID tell her who i was..this was what happened:

(Me): i thought i told u we didn't know each other..

(Me): would it have been different if i wrote somewhere else? i didn't think it was a big deal and i did say why in HB...didn't i?

It ended like that..and this was from a few weeks ago. ( I haven't said anything to her since).

So..now how would i..uh...proceed?
My goal is not to start "anything big" (right away), but to at least become good friends with her (for starters). Obviously I don't think I should go off telling her i like her. As you can probably tell from the above convos I'm barely friends with her from the start, which makes it all the more harder.


And as you can tell I'm pretty bad with these things, so i appreciate all your answers and patience as i attempt to "reach" my goal. lol

Oh yea i should also mention, a lot of those HB messages were from the "advice" of a friend..for better or for worse :S
