    Russia vs Georgia

At least the world is now getting a better test of what an actual mean country looks like, one run by an ex-KGB leader. Maybe Europe will finally shut the fucck up about the US being mean after Russia shuts off their natural gas like they did to the Ukraine last year or the year before, in the middle of winter of all things

And 2 reasons not to vote for Obama-

    1) In Germany he said he was there was a citizen of the world. Represent me, you piece of shit. Not until countries like Russia and China disappear

    2) He said the Russia / Georgia issue has blame on both sides and tried shifting blame off of Russia. He thinks we can reason with a country remodeling itself after the USSR

I would vote for Obama just for those two things.

But there's more reasons than that.

You're naive. Right now our foreign policy is a big piece of shit. I think Obama's foreign policy ideas are really going to help America.

I don't like either candidate, but I'd rather vote for Obama than Bush Jr. Jr.

I'm the same way. Ron Paul would have been a better Republican candidate, but that would just make voting harder for me.

Ron Paul is good on some points, but gold has no utilitarian value and the gold standard shouldn't be

The issue does have blame on both sides. Georgia shouldn't have invaded South Osettia by bombing down villages, civilians and Russian troops inside the territory and Russia shouldn't have over reacted the way it did simply repeating what Georgians did on a larger scale. It's not a one sided issue.

Unfortunately having given support for independence in Kosovo signaling that separatist regions have right to vote themselves out of countries, there's no moral high ground the western countries can take on this.

Not to say that present Russian administration is not corrupted and rotten to the core.

Ron Paul would've been the best thing for this country.

Clearly, not everything he'd intend to accomplish, would, simply because he's relatively radical compared to today's standards.

But he would definitely end up giving more power to the states and reduce federal funding.

Thing is, the federal government has grown so large that it would be difficult to bring it down, no one wants to lose a job.

I still think Al Gore should be president.

I can't see myself voting for Obama; quite honestly, his supporters remind me of evangelicals who believe that Jesus has come to take them home. Either that, or Jr. High kids with their first crush.

    It's embarrassing.

    I will probably abstain.

If McCain wins I'm seriously going to consider moving to a different country. Some nice secularist place in Europe that hates Bush and his clones.

Me too. Let's go to Germany and co-found the fourth Reich (if that happens).

May as well move to Russia or China then

This is why such liberalism is dangerous in a world with countries such as those (Russia and China)

Obama seems like a smart, reasonable candidate. He understands issues involve more than 0s and 1s. And Bush couldn't even count *that* high.

The fact that he can be such and still be appealing to the more conservative, religious factions can only be a good thing. He might be able to bring them halfway to good sense.

Beats McCain by a long shot.
