A free spirit might not be inclined to typical societal viewpoints. She likely sees herself as outside the norm or different from others.
That doesn't necessarily equate with promiscuity, though.
Why not ask her what makes her a free spirit? She'll enjoy telling you.

It's means you don't let stuff bother you much. You don't really judge others and their lifestyle. However, it may also mean they have very little value: may do illegal drugs, be promiscuous, been in jail, lol....who knows. It's better to ask her.

I don't necessarily think "promiscuous" when I think of free spirit. I think travels, meets lots of people, moves on, is happy, bright, bubbly and not too many attachments.

When I think of a free spirit I think of someone who likes to go to cafés, to talk about arts, to read books; someone who doesn't obssess, who likes to speak his or her mind, who enjoys himself or herself.
Is this another option or I am just too innocent for this one?
