how long to wait to call?

i got this girls number, how long should i give it untill i call her?

Whenever you feel like you're ready. There's not really any written rule. If you wait too long, you might annoy her. If you call too soon, you might seem desperate. I would call her tomorrow or the day after... keep the conversation minimal. Try to set up a get together. You have to have things to talk about when you see her.

I'm not sure if others will agree with me, but I think it's ok to call her the next day. I've never been turned off by a guy who called me the next day. In fact, if a guy waits too long, say a week, then I start to suspect that maybe he's a player, not that interested, or dating a bunch of other women.

I'm not into all that "Rules" schnazz. If you like her, just call her.

Absolutely do not wait 3 days. You would seem uninterested or a player. I would have lost interest in a stranger if he waited that long.

If you got the number at night then of course do not call her that night lol but if you got it that morning then the same night is fine. Otherwise the next night is great. Anything after two days is horrible. If she is not someone you are really interested in then waiting a few days would work, I guess.

A man that is really interested in the woman would do the above. Trust me on this one...I'm not giving you bad info.

EDIT: Actually it's best to call her the same night to setup a date. Just don't call her to only have small talk or whatever.

I think two days is fine, but no more than two. I also agree with Cain that you shouldn't call the same night, as it might make you seem a tad too eager, and you don't want to make the girl feel like things are moving too fast.

I think 24-48 hours. Longer than that, and I wouldn't expect him to call at all, but if he did, I'd be annoyed.
