    Are you scared of spiders?

Its like all of a sudden here in Ireland we have mutant spiders…massive! I found another HUGE one again in my lounge last night. I’m not scared of spiders in this part of the world but jaysus they have definitely gotten bigger since I was a kid.

I remember when I was in Australia I was at a beach party and I had to go do the biz and I knew the toilet I was going into had a million unknown creatures inside…with no light in a shed….but when ya gotta go..ya gotta go….i got out alive…but I’ll never know how close I came uuuuhhhh

Another time in oz I was sitting at a bench having a few beers and I dropped something and looked up and there was a small group of redback spiders under the table eeeeekkk! We all ran of course!

Off the topic but another issue: I remember when I was living in New York I would have regular encounters with birds! Seriously what was their problem?! They used to jump up from the pavement and dive towards me….i had one time I was running away from them with people pointing and laughing….. wtf? possessed birds hahaha

It’s been a bad couple of days for me; grey hair, mutant spiders….things come in three’s what’s next?

    Got any scary stories????

It has been raining like crazy where Im at. I was outside talking to my neighbors a little while ago, and a whole lot of tarantulas just kept popping up on webs or by my feet and one even jumped on top of me. I was TERRIFIED. Gosh just thinking about it again makes me shiver.

    Ewww...spiders.

You got tarantulas in your house? How do they even get in? It's not like they are all that small. Time to find those holes and patch them.

    No.

I grew up in a semi rural area in Australia so you just get used to it. I'm the same with snakes. They don't bother me. I just walk in the opposite direction.

    Not scary... random though.

Hm, well, I just moved into my accomodation at Uni. A houseshare with friends. And ever since we moved in, someone has always claimed seeing a ghost or some black figure. Even I. So on the way back from going on the lash, my housemate who happens to be Irish, pissed off his nut, started to exorcise the house with tap water. He was drawing crosses on the wall and doing the whole bead thing. Not scary, nor funny. But I'm in a very tired state so I thought **** it.

Yehh I am arachnophobic. I was visiting my dad in North Carolina and I got scared when I saw this huge spider on his wall. I took this picture with my phone. (It was way bigger than the picture)

Anybody know what kind of spider it was?

I don't get spiders, but I get the occasional cockroach even though I have an exterminator come regularly. You can't really live in NYC and not get them sometimes. The Trump Tower probably has them. The little bastards are everywhere.

I think I get them because there are trees outside my window, and they must climb up and get in through a random crack. The last one I got was so big, I might have well put a leash on it and called it a pet.

I don't think the exterminating does anything for them besides get them high. They are resilient buggers.

I do not like spiders. If Indie can be afraid of snakes and his dad can be afraid of mice, I can damnwell shit myself when I see a bigass spider.

When I was a kid I went to Puerto Rico and wandered through the jungle with a friend of mine. A tarantula jumped down from a tree or something and landed on my face. Tell me you wouldn't be scared of spiders if a gigantic hairy freak latched onto you like a goddamn facehugger! Needless to say, I flailed around like I'd been set on fire and I screamed like a sissy.

Haha! You guys are funny! When my daughter turned three, we hired a lady to bring all her exotic animals to our house for a party. She had all kinds of huge snakes, exotic lizards, and even tarantulas and huge beetles. My husband let the woman put a tarantual on his head and two beetles on his ears and called them a hat and earrings to amuse the kids. I've got pictures somewhere...

lol!!!!!! that is hilarious.....it reminds me of when i was a kid and we were moving into a new house, there was a huge spider web with a small spider in the middle stretching from the side the house to the gate at the side, while investigating the house i was very careful to step under the web, went into the back garden, found something AMAZING, probably a worm or somethin and ran back thru shouting with glee mouth wide open....thus the story ends.....swollowed whole!

lol! that is so true! they are massive sometimes, when i moved to NY first i was staying in a budget hotel, it was an old building so i don't hold it against them but my first night something went flying accross the room at the speed of light! what the hell!? heart attack!! anyway it was mouse, i moved to another room, slept ok and next morning opened my eyes and with blurred vision saw something small, red getting closer to my eye, i jumped up, lifted up the pillow and low behold there was a load of them! i found out they were baby cockroach's, so i moved back and made a deal with the mouse for the next week and a half to stay on the other side of the room, specifically put small bits of food there so he wouldn't make it on to my bed... and my room was practically a closet....what doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger
